Anthony Brown

June 6, 1951 - December 4, 2021

     Anthony Brown, 70 of York, transitioned from this earthly life to his eternal rest Saturday, December 4, 2021, from his home on Roosevelt Avenue, York, PA.

     Anthony was born on June 6, 1951, in Queens, New York, to the late Paul Brown and Bertha (McMillon) Brown.

     Anthony served his country in the United States Navy where he received the National Defense Service Medal.  Anthony received an Honorable Discharge after almost 4 years of service.  He was formerly employed by Cole Steel, the City of York, and the York County Prison.

     Anyone who knew Anthony knew he was a history buff who loved to share his wealth of knowledge.  He enjoyed music and in his younger years, he was member of a music band; he also enjoyed watching sports, especially, his favorite teams, the Eagles and 76ers, and frequent walks around town.  During his leisure time he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

     Anthony is survived by two sons Anthony L. (Renee) Wright of York, PA, Omad L.  Moultrey of San Antonio, TX, one daughter, Kanika D.  Henderson of York, PA, a step-daughter Keresha Stephens of York, PA; three brothers, Paul (Pat) Brown Jr. of York, Gregory Brown, Houtzdale, James Brown of York, four sisters, Diane Brown of California, Paulette (William) Poelinitz of Georgia, Carson Hope (Robert) Johnson of California, Donelle Banks of Mexico, and twelve  grandchildren, three great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.

      In addition to his paramour, Debra Stephens and parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Hardesty.

     A Memorial Service will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on January 13, 2022, at 11:30 a.m.
