Norma Jean Tyler-Sutherland, 74, transitioned from her earthly body to the beautiful soul we all know and love on October 27, 2020 at 10:15 p.m. Born on April 15, 1949, Norma was the oldest of the 13 children born to the late Eugene and Mary V. Preston -Tyler. She acquired her GED and is a proud  graduate of New Life for Girls 1975 in Dover, Pennsylvania. She then attended Teen Challenge Bible Institute. In 1976 she married Edwin "Dutch" Sutherland. She was a long time employee of celotex but was most remembered for her work as a daycare director, member of Brookside Ministries and her volunteer work with the grandparents program. After years of living in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, Norma returned to the place of her birth York, Pennsylvania. She loved her family, her grandchildren revived her life. She loved her home church Brookside Ministries. She will be missed deeply and her family will miss hearing her favorite line "Shut your face you sicko!" , " Hi handsome" and " I have one last nerve and your on it". Norma was a giving person and she could make you laugh. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her.
Norma leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters, Mary Tyler-Miles (son-in-law Floyd) and Nataha Sutherland; a nephew whom she raised as her son, Anthony Tyler; grandchildren Jea'na Miles, Floyd Miles IV, Tyler Miles, TaQuan Gibson, Mi-Kayla Sutherland, Marquez Sutherland, Nylah, Kamani, Kenzie; brothers, Lawrence, David and Robert; a sister, Denise.
