On Saturday, February 25, 2023, Anita I. Brown Krauss, passed away suddenly and peacefully at York South Healthcare Center at age 83.
Anita was born January 24, 1940 in York, Pa to the late Glenn and Virginia (Fulton) Brown. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, F. Neal Krauss, Jr. in 2019. She graduated from William Penn of York High School, class of 1957.
Anita is survived by a son, Kevin Krauss, and a daughter, Karla Pace. She is survived by her siblings, who will miss her smile and loving ways: Terry (Donald) Kottmyer, York; Becky (Jack) Senft, Endicott, NY; Jerry (Donna) Brown, New Oxford, PA; Jo Marie (Richard) Warner, Dover, PA; and sister-in-law, Neila Burrows, York. She is also survived by four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Anita was a lifelong Lutheran and a dedicated member at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, York, until its closing. A Memorial Service will be held at Union Lutheran Church, 408 W. Market Street on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Visitation begins at 1:30 p.m. with the service starting at 2:00 p.m.
