Bradley Hartz was born on January 6, 1959, and passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024. He is survived by his daughter, Celia Hartz, and his wife, Michelle. Brad was predeceased by his parents, Everett “Buzz” and Lorraine (Leeper) Hartz, as well as his siblings, Doug, Cindy, and Marilyn. He is also survived by his siblings Terry, Joy, Randy, and his sister-in-law, Dixie, along with dozens of nieces and nephews.
Brad’s heart overflowed with love for his daughter, Celia, whom he cherished above all else. Every accomplishment she achieved filled him with immeasurable pride. His laughter was infectious, a giggle that drew others in and brightened the room. Brad’s life was a rich tapestry, woven with countless hours spent outdoors with his beloved nephews, Doug, Troy, and Joey (who predeceased him), as they bonded over hunting and fishing. These moments were more than pastimes—they were his sanctuary, where he thrived.
For four decades, Brad dedicated himself to roofing, pouring his heart and sweat into every shingle laid. In Michelle, his devoted caregiver, he found unwavering comfort. During the eight years he battled health issues, Michelle was his rock, guiding him through the storm. Now, Brad has found peace after fifty days in the ICU this year. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the UPMC Foundation, Cardiac Care.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 1pm to 3pm at the Guy E. Shelley American Legion Post 974, 352 Marsh Run Rd, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
