Carrie L. Dickson, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Wed. April 20th.
Carrie was born on April 10, 1927 in Allendale, SC. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Willie Smith and Sis Mary O. Smith. Carrie was the loving wife of the late John Dickson.
Carrie was a loving and giving women. She loved to go fishing and plant in her garden. Her passion was babysitting all her grandkids and people in the neighborhood.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Ivy Jones and husband Charlie; seven sons, Henry, Benjamin, John, Billy, JC, Leon and Robert; thirty five grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her last younger sister, Leona Parker Smith from Ft. Lauderdale FL and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice and Community Care for their care and compassion.
Friends and family are invited to her Home Going Service on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial will take place immediately after the service at Lebanon Cemetery. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
