Carrie L. Shaw, 58, passed away April 9, 2024. Born in Washington, DC on May 28, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Carrie Jenkins.
Carrie was a woman of Christ. She loved spending time with her grandchildren Twinkle Star and Mister. She enjoyed grilling out and enjoying her oldies, but goodies music. Carrie woke up early, opening windows for fresh air and spent the day reminiscing good times with Pretty Baby. Her day wouldn't be complete without her black entertainment movies and TV shows. Love was important and she didn't go a day without telling those she cared for 'I love you". Always & Forever.
Carrie leaves to cherish her memory four children, Milira (Pretty baby) Shaw and husband Kelvin Burton, Jr., Sterling Jenkins, Travis Jenkins and Tasha Jenkins; grandchildren, Kelira (Twinkle Star) Shaw-Burton, Kashmire (Mister) Shaw-Burton, Adriana Jenkins, Harmonie, Jamal Jenkins, Lily Jenkins, and Labella, David and Sahairah Jenkins.
Siblings, Selvester Bobby, Peter Jenkins, John Jenkins, and Martin Jenkins Sr. Carrie was preceded in death by siblings James Jenkins, Pamela Jenkins, Jean Jenkins, Jeanatte Jenkins; and Aunt, Ann clark. Carrie was the companion of Raymond Perry.
A viewing will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 4:00pm-5:00pm at Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market St. York, Pa 17403. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 5:00pm with Pastor Darnell Bowman officiating.
