Charmaine V. Adams, 88, passed away October 9, 2026 unexpectedly due to complications following emergency surgery. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Adams. Born in York, PA on August 20, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Byron H. and Irene A. (Myers) Smith.

Charmaine worked for Pfaltzgraff Pottery for 20 years and more recently, delivered parts for Dick Hill Auto Parts. Charmaine was a life member of Reliance Fire Company. She was an avid Bingo player at York New Salem Fire Hall. She enjoyed spending weekends at her cabin in Caledonia.

Charmaine leaves to cherish her memory her children, Debra A. Barnhart (Bob), Michael D. Adams (Rose) and Scott A. Adams; grandchildren, Michael D. Adams Jr. (Becky), Amanda N. Warner (Seth), Heather A. Barnhart and Robert S. Barnhart Jr. (Kristen); great grandchildren, Ashton T. Becker, Nevaeh L. Warner, Mia R. Cook and Colton Barnhart; siblings, Charles Smith and Byron "Barney" Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her son Charles R. Adams Jr. and siblings, Richard Eugene "Gene" Smith, Doris Roelke, C. Louise Raffensberger and John "Champ" Smith.
