Donald R. Blevins, Sr. (Butch),75, entered into eternal rest after a long hard fight with COPD and heart failure at 10:10 a.m. Sunday December 7, 2025 in his home in Rocky Hollow. A Vietnam Veteran, son, brother, husband, father, pappy, and friend were some of the roles he fulfilled. Donald lived a full life and died peacefully in his sleep. He was married to Karen Blevins (deceased) for 50 years.
Donald is survived by his daughters, Kristy Blevins, Jennifer Blevins-Smith, and Nicole Blevins; his 10 grandchildren, Dave Frey Jr., Tyrone Frey, Derrick Frey, Craig Smith, Tristan, Jade and Slade Shaull, Taten Martin, Timothy Morton III, Summer Weaver; 4 great-grandchildren; his twin sister, Donna (Suzy) Irwin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Blevins; his son, Donald Jr. (DJ); grandson, Darwin Frey.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the service starting at 1 p.m. at Family of God Community Church, 147 1st Ave, Red Lion, PA 17356. Burial will be held following the service at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with the York County Veterans Honor Guard giving full military honors. All are welcome to share their favorite memories as we know there was nothing Donald loved more than his friends and family. He will be deeply missed.
