John "JC" Snyder, Jr, 58, passed away April 12, 2026 after a courageous battle with ALS. He was the loving husband of Jamie Snyder with whom he shared six years of marriage. Born on May 7, 1967 in York, PA, he was the son of John H. C. and Judith Snyder, Sr.

John was a 1985 graduate of Red Lion Area Senior High. He was employed at the Facility Design Wood Shop where he designed custom cabinets for the PA Liquor Control Board. John proudly served our country in the first Squadron first Cavalry Regiment in the United States Army. He was a member of Shiloh American Legion and Glen Rock American Legion Riders.

John leaves to cherish his memory in addition to his wife and parents, daughter, Beccie Snyder; step children, Amanda Strausbaugh and fiance Sean Nailor, Kevin Glatfelter and Brooke Glatfelter; grandchildren, Merlin Snyder, Austen Nailor, Misty Glatfelter, Daxtin Poteet and Sawyer Nailor; several brothers and sisters; and a large loving family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Service dates and times will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to Penn State Hershey ALS Clinic and Research Center.
