With great sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved mother, Juanita Penn, who transitioned on April 7th. 2025, at the age of 94. Juanita was born to the late Millard and Arrie Kinard in Aiken South Carolina on July 16, 1930, and moved to York, Pa as a very young child.
Juanita was preceded in death by her late husband, Charles Penn Sr.; her companion, Clifford Myers (Georgie-Boy); one granddaughter, Crystian Stokes; two sisters, Arrie Mae Walker and Frances Kyle; and six brothers, Richard Sr., Eli Sr., Benjamin, Charles, Leonard Sr., and Clarence Kinard.
Juanita is survived by four children, twins Charles Penn II, and Juanita Morris-Corrado, Carl Penn and Mae Littlejohn (Donnie), seven grandchildren Ebony Williams, Charles Penn III, Tirita Black, Alletta Lambert, Chavonne Heard (Ramon), Tiffany Morris, Lunden Penn, and Justin Penn, twenty-four Great grandchildren, and twenty-one Great-Great Grandchildren. She also leaves behind two sisters Karre’ Coleman and Judith Kinard, one God-Daughter Ella Abraham (Fred), two sisters-in-law Pricilla Kinard and Linda Kinard. and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A life so magnificently lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us to celebrate her walk with the angels. A visitation service will be held on April 16th 2025 at : Unity Church of God Christ 121 Ridge Ave York, Pennsylvania 17403 at 10:00 11:00 am., a short memorial service to follow. The burial service at Mount Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mt. Rose Ave. York Pennsylvania 17403, will be held immediately following the viewing.
