Katherine P. Rivera, 89, passed away peacefully April 13, 2026. Born April 11, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Laura Pool.

Katherine found joy in life’s quiet, meaningful moments. Whether she was settling in to watch her favorite soap operas, getting lost in the pages of a good book, or simply enjoying a peaceful afternoon, she embraced the comfort of simple pleasures. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she took great pride in their laughter, their stories, and the memories they created together. Her warmth, patience, and gentle presence made every moment with her feel special, leaving a lasting imprint on the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Katherine leaves many behind to cherish her memory including, her children, Beverly Ehrhart, Linda Goodwin, Belinda Rivera, and Melody Diaz-Mcknight; her grandchildren, Shanelle Mcknight, Richard Diaz, Isiaih Mcknight, Noah Mcknight, Kathy-lin Goodwin, Brandon Mcknight, Joseph Wilson; great-grandchildren, Zack Goodwin, Kandi’s Hoff, Nathan Stambaugh, Jaylen Diaz, Olivia Diaz; great-great grandchildren, Neveah, Nelia, Greyson, Gabriella, and Able; siblings, Nathan, Maurice, and Margaret.

A viewing will be held Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market Street York, PA 17403. Burial will be immediately follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
