Shannon James (Beef) Cobb, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away on September 8, 2025. Shannon was born on June 25, 1970 to Janet Selvey and the late Larry G. Cobb. Shannon attended Steelton High School, then worked many years at Custom Crome.

In 2007, Shannon met Dorrie in York, PA where they were married. After moving to York City, Shannon worked a couple jobs until he found his place at South Wire. Shannon loved working and being a provider. If Shannon wasn't working, you could catch him at a flea market, concerts, casinos or watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. Shannon also loved to make people laugh, he took pride in making jokes and having people laugh. Shannon had a big heart and truly cared about others.

Shannon was preceded in death by his father, Larry G. Cobb; grandmother, Ethel Bryson; and his mother in law, Eloise Orr. He is survived by his wife, Dorrie Cobb; mother, Janet Selvey; stepfather, Bernard Selvey; son, Shannon Cobb-Crosson; step children, Precious Taylor, Asia Desinor, Brandon Crosson and Tyler Crosson; sister, Tamara Cobb; stepbrother, Bernard Cvetko and wife, Monique; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Bible Tabernacle Church Center, 361 S. Pine Street, York, PA 17403. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Carl Scott officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
