Shirley M. Hallachaer, 89, entered into rest on March 25, 2024, at York Hospital. Born on September 1, 1934, in York, PA. She was the daughter of the late Martha Sarah Hivner and Harrison Hivner. Shirley worked many jobs including McCrory Stores, Coldwell Banker Reality, Mt. Rose Cemetery and Prospect Hill Cemetery. She was an avid Nascar fan and loved broadway shows and theatre. She also had a deep affection for cats. She was raised in Long level, along the Susquehanna river.
Shirley leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Randy V. Hallacher; grandchildren, Ami L. Miller, and Nicholas Hallacher and his wife Adele; great-grandchildren, Grayson J. Miller, and Islay Laura-Marie Hallacher; other family, Sue Aiken and her husband Ted, Jeanie Richcreek and her husband Charlie, Wendi Myers and her husband Keith, Carol L. Galko and her husband Jack, Terri Beckwith and her husband Joe, Melissa Warner and her companion Roy Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Bonita L. Hallacher; and her siblings, Evelyn Miller, Beverly Snyder, and Lewis McDonald Hivner.
A graveside service will be held at Mt. Rose Cemetery on Saturday April 20, 2024 at 10 a.m. Please meet in front entrance at 9:45 a.m. Officiating the service will be Pastor Rodney Glass.
