Thomas J. Landis, 77, of Dover, PA, went to meet Jesus face to face on 4/16/25. Born 1/6/48, in York, PA, Tom was the son of the late Palmer Landis and Grace Lease. He lived a full and vibrant life, known for his deep faith, animated stories, and many passions. A lifelong enthusiast of model trains and classic cars, especially Oldsmobile 442s. Tom also enjoyed, playing softball in the York/Hanover leagues for over 20 years. His love of music led him to sing Doo-Wop with The Sting Rays for 12 years. Tom spent 40 years of his career in the automobile industry, working with Shaull Oldsmobile, Apple Automotive, and most recently, Ciocca. He was a faithful member of Rohler’s Assembly of God, where he especially loved singing hymns.

Tom is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 40 years, Sandra Hagens; son, Thom Landis II, and wife Amy Landis of West York; and daughter, Kristen Landis, & husband Roger Pittman of Dover. He was a proud grandfather to six beloved grandchildren: Jacob, Alex, and Isabella Landis of West York, and Marie, Evelyn, and James Pittman of Dover. He is also survived by his sister, Sandy Sain, & her husband Mort of Wellington, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents & four siblings and grandson Luke Allen Landis.

Visitation will be Fri, May 2, 6–8 p.m., & Sat, May 3, 10–11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life & fellowship starting at 11 a.m. All at Rohler’s Assembly of God, 761 Rohler’s Church Rd., Dover, PA. Guests are invited to wear sports team apparel or attire honoring Tom’s love of cars or trains.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to charities close to Tom’s heart: Rohler’s Assembly of God, the Diane Miller Gift of Hope Fund, https://www.dianemillergohf.org, or Cardinals Across the Caribbean, https://cardinalsacrossthecaribbean.com in his memory.
