Viola Gieda, 77, passed away July 28, 2022. She was the wife of the late Raymond A. Gieda. Born in Scranton, Pa on September 2, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Margaret (Sheridan) Yobs.
Viola loved bingo and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed going to the casinos and playing the slot machines. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Viola leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Craig Gieda (Diane) and Raymond Gieda; sister, Frances Beam; grandchildren, Alexis Mace, Wesley Kauffman and Todd Slippey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond and son, Michael Gieda.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 12th at 7 p.m. at the Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market street, York, Pa. A visitation will be held one hour prior from 6-7 p.m. The Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
