Westley O’Brien Ritter, 64 of York, Pa entered into eternal rest, Friday April 21 2023 at his home in York, Pa
Westley, who was also affectionately known as Wes, was born August 9, 1959 in York, Pa. to the late McKinley V. Ritter, Sr & Anna M. Powell- Ritter
He attended the York city school district and after graduation enlisted in the United States Marines Corps. During his training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina he excelled in boxing and joined the boxing team. After finishing his training Wes became a Military Policeman. He was proud to be a Marine and to wear the US Marine Corps uniform.
After leaving the Marines in his younger years, he was employed by Yorktowne Hotel and Office Furniture Outlets, was a DJ at many different venues including the Makai club and his #1 spot the 500 Block of McKenzie Street. Wes loved to bring everyone together with music good food laughter and cheer. He might have shared his favorite pork chops and onions… if you were lucky. He enjoyed watching sports, boxing and all genres of movies and music. He was a Music Enthusiast with a vast collection of vinyl records and electronic equipment. You didn't know what genre you might hear but it was sure to make you nod your head and smile.
Wes passion was his Family and especially his children and grandchildren. He spent time with them until his health did not allow him to travel as he wanted. But if you ever strode or road down the 500 Block of McKenzie Street in York, you would probably find Wes relaxing with Family, Friends & Neighbors.
