With hearts full of unwavering love and sorrow, we announce the passing of the Right Reverend William H. Ilgenfritz, who crossed the threshold of this life and finally rested as he breathed his last into God's embrace on August 5th 2026, at the age of 79. As the founding Bishop of the Missionary Diocese of All Saints, Bishop Bill spent his life shepherding souls and protecting the historic faith.

From humble beginnings, Bishop Bill built a life defined by dedication and devotion. He was fiercely devoted to his wife, Lois Jean, with whom he celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary this past May. Bill and Lois Jean were not only married for 60 years, they had been high school sweethearts since the tender age of 13. Bill, along with Lois Jean, carried his devotion into raising his two children: Dana Kitting and her husband Matthew of York, and Timothy B. Ilgenfritz of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Additionally, his legacy lives on in his six grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as Pap-Pap. Jacob Kitting (Sivannah), Sara Kitting (Tray) Lynnsey Ilgenfritz (Michael), Abby, Morgan (Colton) Brooke, and five great-grandchildren that filled his heart with laughter and love. Along with several nieces and nephews whom he cherished as well.

William was a Bishop to many, but there are only two in this life that were forever tethered to him since birth. Bill is survived by both of his "little" brothers: David Ilgenfritz and Duane Ilgenfritz (Deb). Bill was proud to be the oldest brother. One of his favorite titles was being "number one" to "two and three".

The Bishop had many hobbies that he enjoyed. Fishing and coin collecting were just two that stayed with him as long as his body would allow. Watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates continued until his very last days. Finally, the hobby that filled his heart was rescuing dogs. He and Lois Jean rescued several together. Among the very best, is their adoring dog, Dora, who was right by his side as he closed his eyes to this world and opened them in the presence of the Master he so faithfully served, offering his final breath as a prayer of thanksgiving.
