​Thomas A. Carpenter

Thomas A. Carpenter, son of Dorothy Ness and the late Robert L. Carpenter, entered the arms of his Heavenly Father on September 19, 2018 at York Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was 47 years old.

 

He was a graduate of Red Lion area High School. Held many certifications in the health care field. Over the years he worked at 911, was an EMT and worked the past 12 years as a Direct Care Professional. While living in Florida, he worked at serveral resorts. 
 

He leaves his mother, Dorothy Ness; a brother, Douglas Carpenter; and friend, Mandy Achterberg, a nephew, Joshua Carpenter, and friend Samantha Juris; a great-nephew, Braxtyn Carpenter; aunts; uncles; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Carpenter and step-father, Curtis Ness.
 

Tom was a very compassionate, loving and caring person, always putting others before himself. He was also an organ donor and will live on in the lives of others.
He will be greatly missed by all who loved him, including his little buddy "Brownie". "Weep not for me because I go to the arms of the only one who loves me more than you."
 

Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market Street, York, Pa, is in charge of the arrangements. A visitation will be Tuesday, September 25, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor Aaron Kunce of Living Word Community Church.
