George S. Atland

George S. Altland, 77, passed at home on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. He was the loving husband of the late Doris P. (Rife) Altland. Born on May 3, 1941 in York, he was the son of the late Margaret M.(Dugan) and James M. Altland.

George retired as a mechanic and truck driver for Kinsley and KBS. He belonged to the Dover Fish and Game, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.

He was loved by his children and always will be cherished by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He appreciated daily conversations with his nephew, Henry Dugan.

Mr. Altland leaves to cherish his memory; children, Allen Altland, wife Deb, the late Georgie Altland, Dot Nunemacher, husband George, Vickie Little, Tammy Bupp, Jody Tufarolo; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters

Nancy Slick & Linda Slick. He was preceded by his wife, son, and brother, Earl "Butch" Altland.

A Viewing will be on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 10-11 AM at the Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 East Market St.,York, PA. The Service begins at 11 AM with Rev. Jeffrey Reaver officiating.Interment in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
