Kenneth M. Schrum

     Kenneth “Bud” M. Schrum, 83 of Dover, Pennsylvania, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019.  He was the husband of Nancy (Cunningham) Schrum with whom he spent 63 loving years of marriage.  Born on October 28th, 1935 in York, PA, he was the only child of the late James M. Schrum and Viola M. (Mitchell) Schrum.  He graduated from York High and met his wife Nancy at the Standard Register Company where he worked for 41 years.  

     Bud was an avid hunter, camper, outdoorsman and family man. He and Nancy enjoyed camping with family and friends. After retirement, they spent their summers volunteering as Camp Ground Host at Ole Bull State Park, in Potter County and Gifford Pinchot State Park, in York County. As Camp Ground Host, they shared their love of camping with their fellow campers, and Bud was known for his story telling around the campfire.

     Bud leaves to cherish his memory, in addition to his wife Nancy, three children; Kenneth S. Schrum and wife Carla of Dover PA, David Schrum and wife Suzanne of Brogue, PA and Wendy Sheppard and husband David of Dillsburg PA; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. 

     A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date to be determined.
